OLR03-B-02 Uses the appropriate design tools to achieve a design objective in a functional manner.
OLR03-B-03 Combines design tools to form a personal coherent visual language.
OLR03-B-04 Can name important evolutions and design periods in the history of design and art.
OLR03-G-05 Uses an artistic visual language with knowledge of the medium.
OLR03-G-06 Can recognize several graphical styles and can personally converts these in function of an online project/digital frame.

Content

Within the Design 2 module, the student acquires the skills to design Digital Interfaces. The student further explores their own graphic imagery.

Lab:

  • Through the completion of assignments, the student learns the skills listed below:
  • designing interfaces for digital communication
  • Create your own graphic and conceptual framework within the context of an assignment
  • combine own graphic style, target audience and subject into 1 whole
  • communicate his/her work to lecturers and fellow students
  • think about the user-friendliness and structure of a site
  • apply storytelling principles
  • reflect on the impact of communication on the target audience and in a broader context society
